Welcome to my world of Wood and Art. It is a world that has in the last ten years mushroomed and become a passion in my life. My regret is that I didn’t find it sooner. For me the creative challenge is to expose and work with the natural beauty of the wood to produce an inspiring piece  that not only captures the  unique beauty and attributes of the timber but allows  the creation to be elevated to a new level.

Working with wood does take a toll on my body and I periodically need to give it a rest. To fill my creative void while resting, I have become absorbed into the world of colour through acrylic paints. Nearly all my work is inspired by nature, especially the ocean and all that lives above and in it.

My philosophy is that my art should aspire to capture an instant in time. That it instils an emotion to enjoy and appreciate the moments that surround the event.  I hope that when you visit my work that it evokes those emotions so that when you leave, you feel uplifted and inspired to look upon our world as a place we need to cherish and preserve for future generations.
